I lost myself to carbs today:(

I know we shouldn't eat carbs and my NUT said it was ok if I had a few crackers or something here and there. But I find meat and the basics so unappealing that I just tried lots bad things today. I didnt eat a lot obviously but few bites banana bread, few crackers, 3 bites sandwich a mini cookie and lots cheese. Cheese is only thing I dont get tired of eating. Sorry I just had to vent...im so lost with food...anything I try turns me off so I dont EVER want to eat it again...:)

Tomorrow is a new day.

Put this day behind you and start over.

You know those things won't help you.

Don't sabotage yourself...you've given yourself a big gift...use it!

I ate a bunch of chips today and enjoyed it every minute. I ate them and then tomorrow I will get up and go on with life as usual. It is what normal people do. We are now somewhat more normal. Enjoy the break and then move on.

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
