Rainy,

I am sorry you are feeling bad but just hang in there. I couldn't handle the clear Protein either. I did clears for 10 days and after a point I just concentrated on getting my fluids in because no way was Isopure or any of the other clear Proteins I bought going down. It got much better after I advanced to full liquids and could do Protein shakes.

Best of luck and hang tough.

I think most people on here can relate to what you are going through. It seems like every sort of Protein makes me want to throw up.

So far...for the clear liquid diet....I handled the unflavored Protein powder. I made it with Jello. It didn't distort the taste whatsoever.

It saved my life.

The shots....unbearable. I know people say to mix them in stuff, but I couldn't do it.

Everyone is different. Everyone tolerates different things. Try the unflavored Protein Powder in with Jello or Crystal Light. It was the best thing for me.

Bullets are not a good form of Protein. They are made from collegan and you need whey Protein.< /strong>

Sunshine is right. You would be much better off to get some unflavored whey protein and mix it in anything you like such as sf gatoraide, poweraide, sf Hawaiian punch, crystal lite, etc.

If you have a GNC, they may have the syntrex nectar drinks for sale.

Is there anyone here? I was looking for a little advice here but looks like no one is around. I had the gasric sleeve done on Sept 24, been on liquids this whole time. Was doing ok till now. I'm wanting some real food. Just a bite. The Water and whey Protein isn't hitting the spot anymore. Was kind of hoping someone would be here to talk to about this. I guess not.

Why have you been on liquids all these days? Usually Clear Liquids are no more than 10, then you go on mushies. Also, you'll get more responses if you start a new thread with a new topic, I think. Good luck!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
