foxyladie 5 Posted July 16, 2010 Hi, my name is Gloria and I live in Augusta, Georgia. I am 61 years young!!!! I had my gastrectomy sleeve April 5, 2010, so far I have lost approximately 50 lbs. I was at 214 on my surgery date and now I am 165ish. I'm still hanging in there!!!! My goal is to get to at least 150 and maintain that weight. I had and continue to have no problems with my wls.The only real situation I'm concerned about right now is getting enough Protein. I can't seem to find a Protein Drink and whatever that taste fairly decent. 2 MN Mary and FAT2FIRM reacted to this
VV2010 1 Posted July 16, 2010 Hi Gloria! You and I are only a few days apart. I have tested lots of shakes and bars throughout the past few months and here are the ones I like: nectar Syntrax chocolate Truffle and Cappucino ( I suggest you order a sample package of all the flavors to see what you like. I couldn't stand any of the fruity flavors but these 2 I drink all the time....and they don't have that nasty smell or aftertaste) Oh Yeah Protein Bars (these are like candy if you like sweet things) Hope that helps - keep up the great work! Papillon 7 Posted July 16, 2010 Premier chocolate shakes from costco are also really nice. 30g of Protein.
Maddie 9 Posted July 16, 2010 I have heard a lot about the Premier drinks at costco. The closest Costco is about 45 miles from here but, my hubby is going to try to get there this weekend for me to pick some up. In the meantime, I am using Atkins ready to drink. The cafe late is pretty good. I can't stomach the sweet fruity ones.
Sunshine 1 Posted July 18, 2010 If you aren't fond of the shakes, try Isopure. It's like a Gatorade.
