Does anyone feel sort of sickly every day? I know I do and I am really tired of it. Am I the only one? I haven't seen anyone else mention this. I have only recently been sleeved. I try to get all my Protein in. I just feel tired and weak and almost like I am coming down with something...every day.

I can't take any pain medicine which I think would help me feel better. I have tried children's liquid ibuprofen. I am afraid of taking anything that might make my blood too thin.

Does anyone else have this?

Please don't get discouraged. You have been through a major surgery. Plus, I'm sure your eating habits are much different now.

It takes a while to start getting all your strength back. Seems like about the 3rd month for me that I stopped feeling "draggy". It does get better. Give yourself time.

Congratulations and welcome to the loosers bench!!!

Thank you Millie. I am going to try to just hang in there and believe it will get better. I appreciate your support!

Yes I have posted that I feel flu like. I am almost 4 weeks out. I also have been having severe back pain and last night I took some of the sublingual pain meds I brought back from Mexico. That not only helped the pain it also made me more relaxed and less irritable which has been a big problem for me the past 2 weeks. I was on cymbalta for pain pre-op and I started back on it last night. I do feel slightly better today. still very tired.

I am hoping the cymbalta will help me get back on track

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
