John James 0 Posted July 4, 2010 So, I am about 4 weeks out and am eating "normal" foods. So far, so good. I was wondering about fruit juices, though. I wanted to eat some pineapple today, but wasn't sure if the sugar content would hurt me in any way. So, I decided to just get some canned pineapple and drain the juice, use 3 ice cubes, pour juice in, blend, and make a smoothie/ice type drink. Is this a dumb idea? pnw218 14 Posted July 4, 2010 We are allowed to have some fruit; I think cantelope is one of the lowest in calories and carbs. Personally, I think moderation is the key. Have a few pieces as a snack or at the end of a meal. Keep track of your calories, etc - and see how you do. This guideline allows for fruit: http://www.cornellweightlosssurgery.org/pdf/dietary_guidelines_sleeve_gastrectomy.pdf good luck!
SParkle 4 Posted July 13, 2010 My nut allows fruit juice which have no added sugar - and no citrus based ones in the first 4 weeks.
