It's Friday and I am Overweight!!!

Yeah! Look at my ticker! Finally just overweight, next stop is NORMAL!

It truly is! The only thing I dread these days is the weekends cause things are just not as consistent and planned as my work weeks are so I tend to gain back a little after the weekends and funny thing is that it is not like I am pigging out! I will have a few chips or a few bites of ice cream. I do hope that my ability to have a little tiny bit of the bad stuff does get better, I don't mind only having a few bites of something that I love but I got sleeved so that I could control portion size which I am doing and then some but still seeing it affect my weight.

I still have not tried any breads at all, only the Special K crackers and then I am only eating 5 or 6 of those tiny little things.

I have 7.9 pounds until I have lost 50% of my weight, that will feel great too!

I wouldn't stress about the weekend. Our bodies are odd creatures. It probably has more to do with Water weight than anything. You know you cannot possibly gain wait from eating a few extra calories (even a few hundred) over the weekend.

At the rate you are losing, it won't be long!

I have Snacks once in a while also. I haven't lost much weight recently but went down another size in jeans. Can't really explain that one - but so long as the clothes get smaller, I am happy!

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
