educationrulz 18 Posted July 10, 2010 You might want to let it sit out?? Well, I poured it into a glass but left it in the fridge so it could stay cold. Do you mean I should take it out of the fridge? I'll try the metal spoon.
JudyM 2 Posted July 10, 2010 My grandma used to put a teeny tiny pinch of sugar into fizzy drinks to make them go flat (beware, it turns it into a fountain!)... But I don't know if a teeny pinch of sugar would be allowed? I guess in a big enough qty of coke, it would be
NtvTxn 1,262 Posted July 13, 2010 I'm barely 8 days out and just on full liquids. Do you think I could kill my craving by putting a bit of BBQ Sauce (just a tad) to my cottage cheese? Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Lovingly, monica:001_tongue: I don't see why not. Just not very thick. I 'LICKED' my husband's bar-b-q'd chicken and shrimp.....seriously, just to taste it!!! I wasn't even hungry, he really just wanted me to taste it, it was new seasoning and sauce he was trying out, we were hanging out in Galveston while I was recovering! **LaSaJaTa** 4 Posted July 25, 2010 Stir with metal spoon in a glass (not plastic) may work better
Eureka-C 20 Posted July 25, 2010 To make the coke go flat fast, just drop a mentos in it. Of course it tastes a bit minty afterward, and there won't be much liquid left in the bottle. :confused1:
Jane_J 117 Posted July 25, 2010 I'm still kind of craving my soda. I did finally drink some and spit it out. Then, I decided to try the thing with letting it go flat and then drinking it. Has anyone tried that? I've seen it recommended in some of the surgeon's postop diet plans. Unfortunately, it is taking FOREVER for the soda to go flat. It's been in the fridge for like three days and still has little bubbles in it. I actually took a sip one day when I though the bubbles were gone and discovered later that there were still bubbles. It freaked me out but nothing happened. How long does it take for soda to go flat enough to drink? Get a straw and blow into it like kids do. After a minute it will be as flat as a pancake!
