zephra 5 Posted June 26, 2010 I have been a little down because the scale is not moving and has not for a week. I know about stalls I am guess I am in one at only 2 weeks out. However, I just went upstairs to get dressed for an open house I am hosting as a Real Estate agent this afternoon. First I put on my "hold everything in" foundation garments because my incisions hurt a lot and it helps. I noticed sagging skin on my legs I have never seen before. At first I was inclined to freak but then I realized that meant I was still losing somewhere even if the waist tape measure and scale were not budging. Then I started trying on clothes. All my favorites were too lose. Even some that were tight before surgery. I decided on something I used to love to wear that was very tight before surgery but looked so good on me now that I just kept looking at myself in the mirror...in wonder. This is the first time I am saying this: I LOVE MY SLEEVE.!!!
Maddie 9 Posted June 26, 2010 Woo Hoo! That is sooooo cool! I am thrilled for you. Very cool for you to see proof even though the scale isn't moving, that will let you trust in the fact that you are doing things right and not to become to dependent on that dang scale. Best of luck on your continued success. you're doing great!
zephra 5 Posted June 26, 2010 I am going to try very hard to not look at the scale unless it is my weekly or monthly weigh in. I know it will be hard but I think it will hep keep me from freaking out about it not moving. This is one time that I can not blame me for the scale not moving because I know what I am eating is a good choice. But seeing the weight loss...that is the best. I feel like I could cry with joy. SParkle 4 Posted June 26, 2010 Zephra - well done!! I've also tried a couple of things on and am wearing jeans tonight that were very tight before but fit nicely now.... it made me feel very smug to zip them up without the usual tucking in of bulges!! Keep up the good work Kathy

NtvTxn 1,262 Posted June 27, 2010 Yay for you!!!!! I have clothes now that fit comfortably that were snug before. Like you, now they look good. Isn't it great??!!! I have a few things that will be too big in a week or two, I just know it! I am going to try very hard to not look at the scale unless it is my weekly or monthly weigh in. I know it will be hard but I think it will hep keep me from freaking out about it not moving. thinoneday 445 Posted June 27, 2010 I would only weigh at my doctor appts and then when the doctor appt stopped down to every 3 months, i got a scale and only weigh once a week. . . you'll go absolutely nuts if you weigh every day. . . i have been at a stand still for over 1 month, so now i started the 5 day pouch test diet (google it) and hopefully this will give me the little push i need to move the weight. . . i can relate to the loose skin, my stomach is so floppy, it's actually funny to be able to lift it up and see how skinny i would look if it wasn't there, then let it flop down and there i am! hehehe. . . doesn't take much to entertain me huh???? hehehehe. . . . good luck to all of you! motherof4 0 Posted June 27, 2010 I admit its hard not to weight yourself everyday, I do it just because it helps me know that I am burning calories daily. I had a stall too and it drove me nuts for two weeks. Just make sure you drink plenty of Water take in your Protein and work out even if its just fast walking. . . good luck to ya!
