Best Sports Bras

Recommended Posts

I just bought a Fiona Sports Bra by Moving Comfort from Academy. It has adjustable velcro straps (sounds weird, but they are awesome) and I love the support. We do lots of jumping in the gym classes I attend, and while they still bounce (I still got big ones!), they are supported by this bra unlike my Lane Bryant sports bras. I threw them out.

I would say it depends on your size. When my chest was fuller, I loved Land's End sports bras. They were well constructed and pretty thick, which held me well. As I shrunk in that area I purchased Champion sports bras from target and liked how stretchy and flexible they are. Good luck

We have a brand called Triumph in Australia - they make great ones.

I noticed at Bootcamp a few weeks ago, we moved inside becuase its freezing at night now in Melbourne and I caught my reflection in the glass - I was dismayed at the truly awful saggy shape my rather large sports bra gave me.

I bought new ones and I actually found great supportive ones that are also foam lined and moulded cups for that nice rounded shape.

However, i'd have to say one of my biggest NSV's is that I can now comfortably go for a run without a sports bra, just a normal every day bra. I cant believe it, big bouncing bazoongas were always a fact of life for me, I love love love my small C cup breasts. DH makes jokes about breast augmentation but I would never want my boobs any bigger.

I LOVE, LOVE Nike sports bras!

I am a 42DD, and they give me fabulous support, even in cardio-kickboxing classes and jogging. They can be a little pricey ($25-30). The Nike website has great sales, especially at the end of the season when they are trying to get rid of particular colors. I buy them at the end of the season for around $15.

I really have NOT liked Lane Bryant sports bras or Champion sports bras. They seem to stretch out quickly and not have great support.

For me, the best sports bra I ever purchased and I will keep using post surgery is the Enell Sports Bra.

Welcome to Enell

They are pricey, but I can jog, do jumping jacks and I have the girls all tucked and no bounce.....it's the best investment I ever made!

Lunaire Sports bra is the best bra Ever - it has underwire but the entire bra is so comfortable I never have to touch it once, and I am a champion bra-tugger! Keeps the girls molded, in place, and not squashed flat like some of those without actual cups do, the dreaded boob loaf. Lunaire only goes up to a 38 DDD though.

It's so funny you posted this today! I just did a little online investigation into sports bras myself today! I ended up ordering an Enell from eBay (half price for a new one -- they are PRICEY!) and also some Moving Comfort ones on sale elsewhere. I will report back when I get them!

I have one too.... great sports bra, I get NO movement whatsoever in it, can jog, skip anything, nothing shifts!

It did take 2 attempts to get the right size, the tighter the better, but I'd recommend them any time, having tried several different ones and been disappointed and out of pocket each time.

They are passion killers tho!! LOL

Enell has the best bras EVER! Pre-op I was about a 44 DDD and once strapped in, those suckers didn't move. They are a little pricey but absolutely worth it!

Any suggestions for really large cup sizes? I'm currently wearing and I/J cup. I was getting Glamorise Magic Lift Plus Active Support Bras, but it doesn't take very long before they stretch out.

I think Enell carries the larger sizes as well. And quite often, you can find them on ebay for a really good price.

I'm reporting back, finally, since somebody bumped this post. I found the Enell was just too much bra for me. I LOVE the Moving Comfort. I have the Maia and the Fiona and I love them both. (I'm a 36 DD.)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
