Divamom 1 Posted June 2, 2006 Hi all. I have Pre-op on June 7th and surgery a week later. I have gotten most of the items ya'll have posted for post-op. Just getting alittle nervous:phanvan not a whole lot because I know this is the right thing to do. Do ya'll out there in lap band world have any tips for making this next week and a half go by faster?:help: And also how long till you were up and kickin' again? About 3 weeks post-op I have a trip to take and I'm hoping I can make it. Thanks in advance. LEAH
disneynut 0 Posted June 3, 2006 Hi Leah. The week and a half you have before your surgery date will go by very quickly and be here before you know it. I kept busy by cleaning the house and buying all the things I needed for after surgery. I made sure that anything that was heavy that needed to be put away or moved I did so. I filled up the dog food bin because I knew those 20 pound bags wouldn't move later. I took one week off from work and I was ready to go back. You will see when you are recovering from surgery that everything on tv has to do with food and it drove me crazy. The second week back to work, I was really tired from the middle of the day on but the pain was pretty much gone by then. I would say by the third week, the exhaustion was gone and I was completely back to normal. Good luck with your pre-op and your surgery. Hope you have a quick recovery.
