I have a question regarding the courage to get naked after massive weight loss. It's difficult now but, everything is at least .... full? I assume it is different for marrieds out there, you are already in a relationship but for singles, how do you find the courage to get naked with someone when your breasts are flattened tube socks, when your stomach flap just hangs there, and your thighs are shrivelled? Of everything out there, this is what causes me most anxiety. I'm afraid that a man I meet, who thinks I look good in my clothes will think it is false advertising once we get undressed. I know I know, if a man wants to sleep with you it won't matter but, still. =(

Hi Globie,

I think if you really get to know each other before progressing to that stage and then telling him about your fears it will be OK.

If its a one nighter you want just make sure the lights are low and booze has been consumed :scared0:

I am going to look at a boob lift and tummy trim next year. My boobs have always been droopy so I would love small pert ones. And the tum never recovered from carrying twins.

All the best,

Jane

I have had the same fears. As a "filled out" fat woman I didn't think about how I looked naked...if figured if a man I was with didn't know I was fat...he really was too stupid to sleep with anyway...LOL.. but now...things are heading south...my skin is getting droopy...truth is I'm not even thinking about dating...but I know the desire and the opportunities will come back and I'll have to deal with it....It's not the biggest problem in the world...but as a single woman I think about it....

I am pretty darn sure I will have plastic surgery...just how much and when are still up in the air...I still have almost 100 pounds to lose....but the 85ish I've lost so far...have left their mark...I'm glad the weight is gone....but part of me are very deflated

Haha Jane, yes to the alcohol - knock back a scotch, chin up, talley ho! There will definitely be some reconstructive surgery after all this, total body lift if possible but most definitely the tummy and girls, up up up! =)

It's weird how different bodies do with weight loss. I read some people who have not had any problems with sagging skin and then others who do. My boobs already have ADD when I am laying down they are all looking in different directions lol. I am hoping to not have a horrific stomach flap hanging down when I am done and try to think that having "the girls" lifted or a Tummy Tuck as my reward for getting healthy again.....we will see if I will be able to afford it.

For some reason I had a mental image of a sex scene involving riding crops and a hunting horn when read this LOL!

Excellent writing :confused1::thumbup:

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
