Hi all, its been 16 days since surgery and I have lost 10 pounds. I'm trying really hard to not let the scale rule my life, but i'm working on self esteem issues and I still have a love-hate relationship with the scale. I guess I'm looking for reassurance from other sleevers that 10 pounds is good. I only had a 2 day pre-op liquid diet so I didnt have any weightloss right before surg. I have been on mushies for a week now and i'm doing good with Protein and Water. I'm working on the exercise part, I have just been so tired lately. Thanks for any input.

I think 10 lbs is awesome!! Tommorrow is my 6 weeks anniversary but for the first 2 weeks my loss was even with yours.Your body is in shock and it'll even itself out just stick with the program and try to exercise some. I'm not lighting any fires but doing my own thing at my own pace. I believe it'll only get better. :thumbup1: Carla:thumbup:

I think you are doing FINE babe, we all go at different paces and you just can't compare yourself to anyone or anything else - even your own expectations. Stay on the sunny side, focus on your achievements and on developing new awesome habits. Focus on the Water, the Protein, the exercise... and the weight loss will just keep on comin'!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
