ouroborous 519 Posted June 7, 2010 ...and it was delicious. This was my first weekend cleared for all food, and I was worried that meat wouldn't go down well. But it was well prepared, cut up small, and I chewed it like crazy, and it went down fine and tasted delicious. If only our Seattle weather would clear up, we'd be barbecuing every day! Tiffykins 673 Posted June 7, 2010 Umm huh, steak is the shiz-nit. I got the George Foreman 360 grill for Christmas, and since it's been so hot, humid and icky down here on the Gulf, the GF has been a godsend. I just marinate the steaks a little longer than I do for the regular grill. But, they are fabulous. Plus, I love that I can make the guys their eggs and french toast in the baking rack that comes with the GF 360.

There aren't NEARLY as many nice outdoor grilling days here in Seattle as I'd prefer!

MINI-Me 196 Posted June 8, 2010 Hmm, I should look into that grill. There aren't NEARLY as many nice outdoor grilling days here in Seattle as I'd prefer! You said it! Fortunately, we have a covered porch so my husband can be found grilling in the sun, rain or snow (I usually give him a coat along with the meat on the snow days! :biggrin0:) We did Ribeyes on Saturday - YUMMY! cactusmom 0 Posted June 8, 2010 My boyfriend beats his meat (excuse the pun) to death with this tool that looks like a metal hammer. It really makes it tender and juicy.

Swiftflow 6 Posted June 13, 2010 On a positive note, our team just won 1st place at our steak cook-off this weekend! I can eat around 3-4 oz of the tender rib eye which is nice. A couple of NSV's cames out of this first steak cook-off post surgery. 1. I was able to last all day without massively sore feet and back. 2. I had more energy through the day in spite of the blistering heat. 3. And my 2x team shirt now fit me instead of having to use my own "iron-on" shirt version that was 3x like I did last year. asafdeye 0 Posted June 14, 2010 we had carne asada last night and it was so tasty, although I think i need to wait a little bit longer to tolerate it to the fullest. it took me about an hour to finish one soft taco with maybe 4 little pieces in it, but later that night i had a big bulge in my tummy and cramping, so that's the sign to me that I need to wait longer before i do that again.
