Donna4545 13 Posted June 27, 2010 I researched, and soy milk brands have different amounts of carb in them. I found a low carb soy milk that I plan to use. Some people are lactose (milk sugar) intolerant after surgery so that's probably why your surgeon is saying soy. I'm hypothyroid and haven't had a problem with synthroid interference, but then again I'm also drinking soy in moderation--not every day.
LAN2k 18 Posted June 27, 2010 For me the problem with soy milk is it has less Protein. But I do love raw, unpasteurized milk you can get here. There's been a lot written how much better it is when the Proteins haven't been heated. The guy at the healthfood store told me he's lactose intolerant but can drink it just fine. It sure tastes different, it's my favorite. Do you know of a clean/safe source online where raw milk can be purchased? There is whole foods store nearby but I don't think they sell raw milk. I have read so many good things about it.
