2 questions for all:

1.Does your significant other know how much you weigh-why or why not?:)

2.Most embarrassing fat moment you will never have happen to you again now that you are becoming skinny or thin or svelte or normal??:)

1. No he has no idea, as far as I know, lol and he never will hopefully!! Why? Um because he thinks I weigh 170 and thats fine with me!! I'll keep him in lala land where im way hotter than I am lol!

2. Anytime someone passes around pictures from some event and I'm in one of them I want to just grab that photo right out of their hands and burn it! Apparantly I live in lala land too, pictures don't lie, but I swear I think I look WAY worse in photos. Hate them, hate people looking at them of me. Its embarrassing.

Hello everyone! I was out of town most of yesterday and today until about 5:30CT. It was very weird not coming on here last night. It's a great habit of mine and I enjoy checking in regularly.

The questions:

2 questions for all:

1.Does your significant other know how much you weigh-why or why not?:rolleyes:Yes, my husband knows how much I weigh. He was there when they weighed me before going into surgery. That was probably the first time he actually heard the number. Now I keep him posted when I weigh each week - he doesn't ask...never has.

2.Most embarrassing fat moment you will never have happen to you again now that you are becoming skinny or thin or svelte or normal??:girl_hug: I'm another one who has picture issues. I am a HUGE scrapbooker and I expect everyone to let me take their picture, but I HATE getting mine taken because I look so HUGE!! I just had my son take a picture of me front view and side view for my 50 lb milestone and that was hard for me to do.

Hey Guys!

I am very excited. I was feelling down and bloated this week, but I just went shopping @ Nordstrom and bought this dress for an event I have at the end of the month - in a 1X!! This is HUGE for me, I have been a 3X for longer than I can remember! So maybe the numbers are not moving much, because I am working out more, but something is happening here!! :clap2: :clap2:

I am not trying to sound braggy or anything, I am just super excited!

biggirlpantiez - you are gonna look HOT! congrats on the 1x! wooohooo!

as to the 2 ?'s NO- my hubby doesn not, nor will he ever know how much i weigh! he's blissfully ignorant but a little scared of losing his bbw. i think it'll be some time before bbw doesn't describe me. as for the second ? - i am a teacher and kids will tell me how fat i am, well, no shit sherlock! i don't mind the ones who are just dumb and/or innocent, i would love to smack the ones who are devious and mean-spirited, which, unfortunately is the majority.

and you're right some of us are misssing...where are you???

oh - i forgot! i don;t know if i will be annoying as a skinny person. i hope not as i will always be a fat chick on the inside. my wish for the july 06 band crew is that we all remember where we were when we started so we are kind and encouraging to everyone regardless of size!

then again i may be so into my new "persona" i may become a bar fly, a floozie and a biatch! who knows?! lol!

2 questions for all:

No Way and I do not know what he weighs, our delusions keep us happy!

2.Most embarrassing fat moment you will never have happen to you again now that you are becoming skinny or thin or svelte or normal??

We did the jungle and snorkeling tour in Cancun where you drive your own 2 seater mini boat through the jungle to the coral reef. So our boat was really slow and all the other people on the tour thought it was so slow because we where heavy. Then we get to the reef and you have to jump out of the boat to snorkel but there was not a step to get back in so you have to climb on....I refused to get out and so did my husband. The guide was so nice and said in broken english that he will help me get back in the boat so I looked around and realized I may never have this opportunity agina, so we jumped in and loved it! The guide and my husband helped pull me up onto the boat, I was embarassed but did not care at that point.

Oh and the slow boat had nothing to do with weight, it had to do with my husband being a terrible driver and afraid to go fast!!

Hi all:

Answers to questions:

1. Yep, hubby knows and always has. He married me big and I will always be his Big Beautiful Wonder Woman because I am 6'2" and will NEVER be stretch model thin. I have put on a lot of weight since we married and as a matter of fact one of my first goals is my marrying weight. Goal #2 is meeting him weight...lol.

2. This past January my classes and I were preparing for a program so we were walking back and to the auditorium several times a day. By the show date at the end of the week my heel spur was so inflamed the custodian had to push me (he didn't HAVE to- he's a sweetie) in the wheelchair. Pushing me through the crowded halls and everyone asking me what happened. I am a big fat cow that's what happened honey!!!!!! Hopefully- no mo'

Here's to the last few days of summer......boo hooooo....they're here!!!

Question 1: Yes he knows how much I weigh. I don't know how much he weighs but he doesn't either. Hehas always know and now so does my mother.

Question 2: One time we went to the lake and decided to get on a jet ski and ride around. We had fun until we tipped over. We couldn't get it back over (which cost us to fix) and then we had to get on another one to get back to shore. I could not get back on and the people around us couldn't help me. I jammed my leg bad and thought that I broke it so they had to go get the coast guard to take me to shore in the boat. It took several attempts to get me in the boat. I was so embarrases and we spend the rest of the evening in the ER checking out my leg which wasn't broken. I don't have any desire to do that again even when I lose weight.

It's a quiet night here at LBT. Everyone is probably out for the weekend enjoying their last long weekend before summer starts winding down.

We went to my SIL's yesterday for a family BBQ. They asked how I was feeling and if I have had any problems (that seems to be the most common question I get from people in general). I ate a hamburger patty with ketchup, a scoop of homemade potato salad and a little scoop of pistachio whip. Then I had a small square of DQ ice cream cake - my first ice cream since surgery. It was really good and I was happy with the piece I had. Pre-surgery I would have had another that was bigger than the first.

Then today we were at my sister's for my nephew's 5th birthday. My parent's were at the hospital when I had my surgery. I haven't seen them since August 10th when I picked up DS from staying with them for a couple of days. My dad hugged and hugged me and told me he was so happy for me and so proud of me and told me that I looked just super. My mom was full of compliments, too.

My sister, on the other hand, didn't comment at all. We've talked on the phone and she knows how much I've lost, but I thought for sure she would have at least said something like, "lookin' good". But you'd have to know her to realize that I shouldn't be that surprised that she didn't go there. I always have to bring it up. And the funny thing is when I was persuing gastric bypass 2 years ago and told her, she said, "You know they are going to cut you open." That floored me because her SIL had gastric bypass the year before!! Makes no sense to me. I saw her SIL today and she knew I had the band and was very pleased to hear that I was feeling great and that it went so well for me. My sister is hard to figure out. I don't see her very often, so as long as I am surrounded by supportive friends and family here, I'll be just fine

I'm comfortably in my 3X's now...I'm selling anything with a 4 or 5 in my garage sale...I'm keeping one pair of pants and one top for my "before" clothes.

I had a good day today as well. We were both healthy enough (finally) to go to church this morning. It felt good to be back. Nobody really knew that I had the surgery so no one said anything to me. I don't think you can tell anyway. I have alot of things to do tomorrow with hubby. We are going grocery shopping (how fun) and some other stuff. Today I ate a small burger from Braums. It went down good but slow. I think I got that need for a burger out of my system so I don't crave them anymore. I hope

that everyone has a great Labor Day!!!

1. My husband does know how much I weighed before surgery and where I am at now. I would not let him know my weight for many years because when we met I was very fit and when we got married I was at my very best (even wore a bikini on our honeymoon). Life happened!! Anyway, I wouldn't let him know how much I weighed until I finally was so desperate not to be morbidly obese anymore that I knew I had to do anything and everything to end this chapter of my life, which I was hoping would be through the lapband (thankfully, it is!). I had to make myself vulnerable and accountable so there would be no turning back! I too, can't wait until I weigh less than my husband!

2. One of my worst "fat moments" was at a church picnic where I had gone to sit down at the end of a picnic table. Other people were sitting at the table already, so I guess I set it over the edge - the table actually collapsed!!! And of course it was the fat girl's fault!! It may have happened to anyone who sat there next, but it had to me - I was so embarassed.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
