Pamela218 0 Posted June 1, 2006 I called my DR to schedule the EGD that he requires at the 1 year mark. I found out that my band has prolapsed. They removed all the Fluid (2.4 cc) and put me on liquids for a week and mushies for a week. Then I'll have to do another berium swallow. If gravity and this diet works then I can start fills over again. If not they'll have to fix it. Has this happened to anyone else? I would like to hear from ya!! Pamela218 0 Posted June 2, 2006 I was getting a fill one day and a girl before me had her port flip. They were able to get it back during her fill visit. She said it was just uncomfortable pressure.

leatha_g 4 Posted June 2, 2006 Yes. I pretty much had the same thing happen to me. Went for a fill and found that my band had slipped. I was unfilled immediately, made to wait 4 weeks, then wound up re-banded because the band never totally righted itself. There are many others who've been able to return to fills without being rebanded. Good luck!

I just had my band replaced last Thursday. I went through quite an ordeal. I hope that gravity works for you. I had no clue what was going on except that i became deathly ill. I could keep no food or liquid down for the past 2 weeks. I became so sick I went to the ER thinking i was having a heart attack. It wasn't my heart but my band. I had been banded for 3 years and this happens!! The doctor told me my band had too much fill. I had terrible acid reflux. I didn't know this was caused from too much fill. After 3 years you would think I would have know this. I'm recovering. Good luck.
