lk1069 1 Posted June 1, 2010 I am being sleeved today with Dr. Nick! I am so nervous and excited. My surgery is scheduled for 11:30am but surgeries always run late so we shall see when I actually go in. AHHHH This is all so unreal. Talk to you guys on the other side! lk1069 1 Posted June 2, 2010 Thanks so much everyone! Well I am out, I got out of surgery at approximately 2:15pm. I'm feeling alright overall actually. My ribs feel like they've been kicked but I'm told that's from the gas. I'm doing my breathing exercises and I've walked around the halls once. I'm pretty impressed with how I am feeling thus far, I may get to go home tomorrow! However, I did not feel that great right out of surgery haha. I woke up with them telling me to breathe deeply and in my head I was saying "Oh dear God if this is how it is going to feel I instantly regret this decision!!!" but those feelings were over in about thirty minutes! It has happened! It's here! I'm so excited for my future. To anyone that is wondering whether they can do this...YOU CAN! Welp, I'm a little drowsy (aka falling asleep, hehe) so I'd better get some rest. Thank you all for your wonderful words of encouragement.
Lillie24 2 Posted June 2, 2010 SO happy you handled surgery well. Just remember every day from now until your fully recovered will get better. Just do what you can to get the fluids in, rest, sip sip sip, and walk. Looking forward to seeing you online and recovering even more soon.
