I Have joined the ?NEVER TRUST A FART CLUB?

Recommended Posts

Well I have officially been inducted into the NEVER TRUST A fart CLUB. Well here it goes, as I drank my first Atkins Advantage shake yesterday it was going down real easy and it taste so good. I was just sipping away and around the half way point ?about 30 min? I felt my stomach making some different noises. I was glad to hear them but was still curious :confused:as to what they were.

Well there it went One Fart, Two Farts both went good :lol0:, I got up to go to the toilet and as I got there and begin to sit, the third fart, OHH it wasn?t a fart :lol0: and it went all over the place. I mean on the floor, toilet, and some on the wall. I was like ?I DIDN?T EVEN STRAIN WITH THIS ONE? and it came out shooting like a double barrel shotgun.

Well I want to Pay It Forward ?NEVER TRUST A FART? :lol0:

Dude! While I will admit you are funny, Pull-leze, refrain from the graphic detail. I want to be part of the forum as much as anyone, as I know you do also, from your frequent posts. I am sure there are others on the forum will think I am picking on you, so be it if that is what others think. I am just asking for a little decorum on the forum. So, man up and be the gentleman here. It won't hurt long I promise. That said, I think you are a funny person, don't change that.

My post wasn?t meant to offend anyone; it was intended to be funny and helpful to others.

I know that through this I?ve learned to listen to my body a lot more cautiously.

Ohhhh the infamous bowel birth. It's good you've experienced it early out. Good news is that it doesn't really last that long. Once you get mushy/solids, you may experience the opposite.

I for one enjoyed your "potty humor". It inerjected a little levity into what can be a very trying and emotional time. Keep up the good work!

oh dear, I am considering surgery and it is nice to know what i can expect. my job is in a phone bank. Being old, and having become my Grandmother, who was very windy, I can't tell you how adventuresome it sounds.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
