Ouch sorry I know what it feels like-I awoke with one this morn but thank God it was gone in an hour (must have been sinus related). I had a headache that lasted 3 days last wee,(more likely migraine!) Let me know what Dr. Aceves recommends. Hope you feel better soon.

My doc okayed me for liquid Tylenol (NSAID's like ibuprofen and so on are supposedly off limits, at least according to Dr. L). It works great for the occasional mild allergy headache. It actually seems to hit me quicker than the pills did, which is usually a blessing when I have a headache that needs knocking out!

Thanks, I choked down some liquid tylenol (BLAH!!!) and hope to get some relief soon. With this headache and weakness, this has not been a good day. Got my Protein Shake in this morning but slept all day after that so I am playing a little catch up nutrition wise.

Thanks Stacey! I start mushies on Sunday so I have been planning pretty steadily to make sure I make good choices. Also, about every 4th day I am gonna kick up the carbs past 30 grams to see if that keeps things moving. I am afraid that my body is really gonna start holding onto everything soon!

Wow, it has been 5 weeks for you!!! Time sure flies once you are sleeved, doesn't it?

Kicking up the carbs may be helpful. Boy.... my body just did a complete freeze at about three weeks. No matter what I did..... I think I have broken the stall but I don't know. I am not weighing because it was making me a little nuts. Its certainly a lot easier to make good choices now that I can have solid food.

When I was stalled I was so tired.... I could barely exercise without wanting to faint or puke. It was like my body was just not willing to let go of any of its reserves for energy (and I have plenty to spare).

Now when I exercise I can feel when my body kicks in and starts burning... so I think that means my furnace is going again.

Not sure though... I just know I have to stay away from that scale if I want to stay sane. :scared0:

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
