Oh My Goodness.....dare I say Sunday was PERFECT....the weather, the sky, the Water, the breeze....were just PERFECT.:clap2:

We had an Awesome time at the park. Picnic is on the menu once a month. LOL We had a little bit of food but too much food. LOL

Who would have thought 7 layer dip, chips, veggie platter, deviled eggs, grapes, Jello and watermelon would have been too much food for 6 people.LOL:D

We had such a great time laying around, munching, talking, taking measurements (which everyone had lost inches YEAAHHHHH) and recruiting a new member walking down the sidewalk (karen) he he he he. Everyone did at least 2 situps or leg lifts, not much else exercise but hopefully Dawner will bring her yoga expertise so we can stay on the ground. :heh:

Leona and Karen met a new man who was with his wife, came and got down on the blaket just to say no thank you I dont' want any watermelon.:laugh

I wish I had that 7 layer dip now....I'm hungry.:hungry:

You guys thanks for an awesome, meeting......4 hours still wasn't enough.:) I hope for those who did not make it this time, please come to the picnic next month. Haines Point may be a distance from you but it is so worth it. Just being by the Water is so relaxing and being on the ground is always comfortable. OK I'm ready to go back tomorrow..... :bounce:Thanks guys!!!

haha my hour and a half trip there (getting lost) was way worth it to have that creepy old man kneel over my butt... I mean, seriously, what was that about?

haha

but being really serious, it was a great time! Thanks for the great company, yummy food, and duck poop.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
