Loose fitting clothes to wear home. A robe and some comfy shoes/slipper because you should do lots of walking. I always take my own pillow anywhere. Best of luck, keep us updated.

That's probably all you'll actually need in my opinion. I brought a book to read, and had my hubby keep my IPod with him, but didn't use either. I was either up walking the halls pushing the IV stand along, trying to get fluids in, or resting. Good luck!

Lol - think you may need more than just that!

As well as what the others have posted I have on mine stuff like face, hand and body cream, as I get really anxious when my skin dries out - which usually with air con'd rooms it does, so that will help me relax a bit more.

Why not start a good book before you go in, so you're already into it and don't have to concentrate too much....

If you're having to travel to your Dr then don't forget a wheelie bag or case, to make sure you don't have to carry anything.

Good luck

Kathy

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
