Margo 0 Posted June 1, 2006 O.K., be honest....every single time you slime/PB you do liquids for 24 hours after your PB? Yes or no.....
lisanjason 0 Posted June 1, 2006 I don't.I'm usually hungry at the time it happens and I'm eating too fast.I usually let it finish then I will go back and eat alot slower. It's happened twice to me so far.
DonnaB 3 Posted June 1, 2006 I've only done it once - and YEP! I was on liquids for 3 days. It was a bad PB.
Carlene 12 Posted June 1, 2006 Are you kidding? I go back and finish my dinner. After that, I might have a hot cup of coffee, but it's basically back to business as usual.
Morsaille 4 Posted June 1, 2006 If it is a retching PB that empties my pouch, then YES! 24 hours or more. If it is sliming, mouthfuls of saliva and other that if swallowed cause problems, NO. I put a coffee cup on my sternum, spit the offending material, and wait an hour or more for the stoma to clear. Then back to normal.
divaliciousdee 0 Posted June 1, 2006 Yeah, what Morsaille said!!! Exactly
cissy 0 Posted June 1, 2006 If it was just slime/golf ball, no. If it's a full-blown PB, just liquids. I don't eat anything until the next day.
EmileeKaye 1 Posted June 1, 2006 Nope (have to add more to be able to post)
gadgetlady 4 Posted June 1, 2006 No, I don't. I'm just really careful afterwards
Victoriana 10 Posted June 1, 2006 No, I hate getting through the slimming though, then I drink warm tea, wait about a half an hour before attempting anything else
fabfatgrl 10 Posted June 1, 2006 It depends on the degree of the PB and my hunger level. If it is bad, I may try to do liquids or at least purees for the rest of the day. If it was just a quick cough/spit of something that got stuck, then usually I continue eating... although I may avoid whatever food that got stuck.
Alexandra 55 Posted June 1, 2006 Early on, I didn't wait, no. But I lived and learned, and now if I WERE to PB, I'd absolutely stick to liquids for at LEAST 24 hours. I've had the vicious cycle where inflammation comes on the heels of a bad PB episode, and it's WAY worse than avoiding it in the first place.
vinesqueen 2 Posted June 1, 2006 No, I don't do 24, but with the couple of terrible dry-heave vomiting that I've done exactly three times, I stuck with Soup, and very soft foods.
sleepyjean 0 Posted June 1, 2006 I've never heard of that. What's the reason for doing that?
