stcyt 15 Posted May 11, 2010 Around day 6 I started to actually WANT food. My stomach wasn't ready, but my brain was. I'm at day 18 and some days I want it and some days I don't. It will get better.
wannalise 16 Posted May 11, 2010 I kind of went back and forth with that. At about a week I was pretty okay with smells, but there were days that I would crave crazy foods like a taco or a hot dog, but then when I smelled the foods my family was eating I wanted to lose it. Good luck! Are you going to do support groups w/Dr. Cottams office. I am a part of those and would love to meet you!
Bona Fide Diva 3 Posted May 11, 2010 I have a super snout now. I can smell EACH ingredient in a dish. Sometimes its bad; sometimes I can just ignore it. I'm 8 weeks out. I think I can smell it all because I can't eat it all. And really having no desire to eat it at all makes me want to hurl too.
imagine.dream.inspire 0 Posted May 11, 2010 I am still struggling with this. I seem to go back and forth. I don't mind it as long as I keep hydrated.
lmmore 0 Posted May 11, 2010 I had a reall problem with smells for about 10 days........then I was okay. When I checked out of the hospital they removed my IV and I didnt' realize I was bleeding until I smelled it. BLOOD! I said "Les you can smell like a vampire", and then I said "Les, there are no vampires." )
Catyroses 1 Posted May 11, 2010 Wow. I never experienced that. At least not yet. Right now for me the smell of food is like breathing in the scent of a lovely perfume. Don't particularly want to eat it, but I do like smelling it. May that feeling stay with me always!
