Anyone else try the Jay Robb whey Protein? I just got a sample from GNC and I think it tastes pretty good. I've just started to try some samples in the hopes of having surgery in June or July. I mixed it with milk. (I'm not sure if that's the recommendation or not for Post Op diets) You can mix it with Water, too. But I haven't tried it that way yet.

There's 25 grams of Protein in it and it has Slevia no calorie sweetener in it.

I love jay robb protien. Well, as much as one can love protien :lol4: More so the egg white than whey. It is good mixed with Greek yogurt.

Jay Robb is good quality stuff. I loved it pre surgery and drank 2 shakes a day with one light meal of veggies and shrimp or chicken, fish or beef. I did this 4 weeks pre surgery and lost 16 lbs. After surgery I couldn't stomach even the sight of Jay Robb or any other Protein Powder shake!

I too am trying the Proteins out. I bought the Jay Robb sample packs yesterday at my grocery store and really like the chocolate egg white Protein. I am going to try another one today. I don't want to do too many so that I am burned out on Protein Drinks before my 2 week pre-op diet (so not looking forward to that).

I love Jay Robb! I am 4 weeks post-op and still enjoying my Jay Robb shakes daily. I sometimes supplement a little fruit or greek yogurt in the shake. I found I really don't like the egg white Protein, it gives me a bad after taste.

In the vanilla shake I like to add a little sugar free International coffee in it, very tasty.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
