Hey all. Things are still going really well and I really appreciate all of your support. To those of you vets, I have a couple days a week where food sounds icky and I end up back on Protein Shakes and mushies. Just wondering if this is something others experience and does it go away? I got some herbal tea to see if starting my day with that would help, but we'll see. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Yeppers happened to me. food lost all appeal, and I really did struggle with eating around 2.5-3.5 month mark. I kept talking to Daisy about options, and talked to my surgeon as well, but I had to stay on mushies because it's the only way I could hit my Protein goals in a day. It was temporary, but it was frustrating.

Yep. I was sleeved a week before you and I have those days, too. I figure it's all good as long as I get my Protein in.

I just vomitted for the first time since surgery. Over a piece of toast with Peanut Butter on it of all things. Guess my tummy didn't like the peanut butter. Anyway, I am going to do the shakes today because I don't want to upset my stomach.

Some days, time just gets away from me and it's 12 pm and I have had nothing to eat. It's those days where I miss my Protein goal. And I refuse to eat another Protein Drink.

It's 7 weeks out and for the most part, unless I am totally bored, food is an afterthought now. It's just not what makes me excited anymore.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
