Does anyone have favorite tips about how to use the unlflavored Proteins that really masks them? I tried crystal light and I was still too aware of it. I'm a whiner I know! I am just trying to be vigilant about getting the Protein in.

Thanks ya'll!

How much liquid are you adding to it? And also, what kind of crystal light? I add 8 oz. Water, 1/2 packet of crystal light to a scoop of Unjury unflavored, and that works for me. You could always dilute it and add a scoop to double the amount of water, and double the crystal light. Also, I found that mine doesn't taste great with the plain lemonade crystal light because it's almost TOO light, but it tastes good with the pink lemonade crystal light which has more flavor. Hope that helps a little!

I mix 1/2 scoop into yogurt or swiss miss diet cocoa.

Just be careful when adding to hot liquids - if the temp is over 140 degrees, it will clump up on you. I have made the Water just warm, mixed thoroughly and then heated it up a little more - no issues with clumping then.

(I use Any whey "Flavorless" Protein that I get from Amazon.)

Thanks, I'll try again. I'm having this weird day where food and drink all sound awful, so I was trying to make myself at least get Fluid and Protein in. I'll give it a go!

What about food flavourings?

I have coconut, vanilla and chocolate essence in the fridge which don't contain sugar... couldn't you mask them by making them taste of something you like? There must be loads of flavourings available.

(Forgive me if I'm way wrong on this one, just guessing!!)

Those definitely help - just like me with my diet cocoa mix.

I put unflavored Protein Powder in anything I could find that was sugar free. There is a Hawaiian punch that is sf, and sf gatoraide and power aide, besides the Walmart brand of crystal lite. I used the cranberry raspberry flavor.

Thanks to all for the postings. Will have surgery (lap band) in May 2010. I am trying to get samples and recipes for my diet post surgery. I will like to find a liquid Multi-Vitamin with minerals.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
