stcyt 15 Posted April 30, 2010 TBtroy I assume your question is when can we exercise. I really really want to start doing something but we have so many restrictions right now. I have been going on short hikes with my dogs but I want to work up a sweat. I was a real exercisor pre op and I miss it. I don't want to chance anything going wrong though. I also worry about getting dehydrated with strenuous exercise at this point (I'm 9 days post op). What did you doc give you for guidelines? Mine said walking any time lite exercies at 3 weeks full exercise at 6 weeks I thought about swimming too but its bad for the incision sites.

deedee 5 Posted May 3, 2010 I was told 4 weeks before the pool and/or baths. Good luck to you, this time really will go by fast and you'll be working up a sweat before you know it! Can you speed up your walks? I remember I started working up a good sweat when walking early out. I added more miles and sped things up.
