DeeDee58 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Came home yesterday afternoon afterhaving surgery on Tuesday morning. You guys that travel are tougher than I am. Lots of nausea, had to stay in the hospital one extra night because of it and I was not getting enough liquids in. I can't sugar coat this - this has been a difficult surgery for me. With the help of my sister this morning, I weighed 210. Pre-diet: 224 Day of Surgery:218 4 days after surgery: 210 Still having significant pain. liquid viocodin is nasty. I managed to get in about 32 oz in today. Please keep me in your prayers and I hope to write more tomorrow. Diane

FabBy50 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Diane So sorry to hear that you have had a rough start, it will get better! I promise! My first 3 days were the hardest, on both my lap band and my revision. Second day is always the hardest. All I can tell you is that everyday will get better and better!! Good luck and happy losing!
Tiffykins 673 Posted April 25, 2010 Diane, definitely will keep you in my thoughts. I agree liquid lortab/vicodin tastes horrific. If you get a refill, Walgreens can flavor it for you. The bubblegum was the most tolerable for me. This is a major surgery, at least in my mind it is, and we all recover differently. Take your time, rest when your body tells you that it needs rest, sip as much as you can, and try some sugar free popsicles. SF popsicles really helped me get in some fluids. Walk when you can, but don't overdo it. For my body, I walked, but I needed rest as well.
