I can't stop!!!!

Recommended Posts

Help!!:help: I can't stop eating cheetos, they are the only thing that doesn't bother me since I had my fill. Everything else makes me sick. I am addicted to the Dunkin Donuts smoothie which are 360 calories. I'm not eating food that is good for me. I was doing so good and now I need to get back to where I was a month ago, I already put a few pounds back on and I don't like it. My chest hurts with anything I eat. Even in the morning I won't have anything but a smoothie and I have problems with that, I don't understand it. Does anymore have some words of wisdom to help me get back on track?

It seems to me that you're probably too restricted and need to go in for a slight unfill. If everything you're eating and/or drinking is causing you pain, that's a good sign that you're too tight.

As far as the bad food choices, that's something you're going to have to fight with willpower. It's hard but can be done.

Best of luck to you!

You already identified the problem. Get rid of the cheetos and stop going to Dunkin Donuts. To get back on track, have you considered doing a 4-5 day version of the pre-op or post-op diet... full fluids, Protein Shakes and mushies? You've lost a LOT of weight and can get back on track if YOU really want it.

If cheetos are the only thing you can eat without pain, your adjustment was too much and you need to go to the doctor and have some removed. Being "too tight" sounds like a good idea, but all it does is lead people to eat the 'easy stuff', cheetos, ice cream, etc.

CALL THE DOC!!

I think you sound as if you need an unfill. Perfect example of how being too tight can work against you. Weight loss aside you cant live on Cheeto's, you'll probably turn orange soon.

Hope you get it sorted, that would drive me insane.

Sounds like you need an unfill, weight loss aside you cant live on Cheetos. I wonder if you'd turn orange, lol?

Hope you get it sorted, that would drive me nuts.

I have to tell you guys, the thought of getting a fill freaks me the hell out. I feel sorry for you Marie. I'm sure the doctor will troubleshoot and figure something out.

It's not good to not be able to eat anything but junk, (not zoning in on your selection, because I am pretty sure you know what's good to eat and what's not) but I know personally that cheetos kinda melt in your mouth and so it's easy to swallow, (my daughter and husband are extremely addicted to cheetos.)

I hope you get help from the doc really soon if you are uncomfortable with your fill. However.... isn't a fill suppose to work this way? Tell me if I am wrong but I just thought that maybe this is how the band is supposed to work. Restricting soo much that you don't overeat and underchew.

If I were having problems like that, I would have a little bit of an unfill ASAP. Also, try Atkins shakes, They should stay down fine and are better for you than the Dunkin Donuts stuff. And,

STEP AWAY FROM THE CHEETOS. Throw them away. Toss them out.

The band is supposed to restrict so that you can't over eat, or underchew, but if you can't eat a well chewed piece of moist meat without pain, you are going to turn to stuff that is easier to eat (who wants to be in pain 3 or more times a day??).

My best recommendation to anyone on this is to talk to your fill doctor about 'sneaking up' on restriction. It takes a little longer to get there, but the chances of being over filled are so much slimmer.

I ABSOLUTELY MUST keep things like that out of the house. I have 3 kids and often buy something 'for the kids' then I eat more than they do. Like Dr. Phil says, get it out of the house and make yourself a 'fail proof environment.'

Cheetos are junk, there is no nutritional value in them, no one in the house needs Cheetos.

I agree with the other advice, get your doctor to check your fill level.

Let us know how you are doing...

My surgeon's philosophy on fills: It is better to be a bit underfilled then over filled. Because being overfilled causes you to make bad choices in a desperate effort to get anything down. He'd rather you eat too much of a chicken breast than a little bit of Cheetos.

You fall RIGHT into this rule. Go. Get an unfill. You'll be glad you did!!!

Oh and a big {{hug}}

I read your post and can't wait to try some Cheetos....LOL. But seriously, how many cheetos can you eat at one sitting, I was addicted to potato chips before my surgery and now after 2 or 3 chips I am full and wouldn't even think of eating a third. I allow myself the chips because I enjoy them and now can only eat at he most 3 chips whereas before surgery I ate 3 large bags at one sitting.

Perhaps look at the Cheetos as a small snack rather than a cheat and only eat 2 or 3 a day. Try to eat them after you have had some protien or a shake rather than instead of protien or a shake. Theres just so many ways we are changing our lives from this band....live a little enjoy the Cheetos in moderation.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
