Murphles 0 Posted May 30, 2006 So for the first four days or so-all I could do is sleep. I slept all day and all night (except for the vomiting). Not so great. But yesterday-I started with this weird energy. No nap. Then I could not go to sleep. I kept having this weird half awake dream of a Mexican made for tv movie about lap bands (you know-those summer miniseries)-which of course, I was in. My body is still sore and achey. But I am really clear. And Iwondered if all that food that I used to eat sucked all of the energy out of my brain and that is why I was tired all of time (I don't think there is any physiological basis for this-but I had a lot of time to think at night.) Finally, I have become so deconditioned as I got fatter in the last year-exercise as really uncomfortable. For those of you like me-how did you gradually get back into it-telly and tricia have me completely intimidated!!!
FunnyDuddies 6 Posted May 30, 2006 LOL don't be intimidated by their workouts. they are just crazy. LOL I think there is a period of time when the body switches over to burning its fat for energy, and the better food we eat is burned more efficiently. its pretty normal. i went through that a few times when I dieted. mix it with a good walk and you have the recipe to lose weight. I was pretty exhausted before the surgery, but when I got home, I was suddenly totally awake and feeling better than I've felt in 20 years. Then I started taking my usual medicine and the energy went away though I still sleep less than before. In fact, I used to take a nap every day and now I don't and feel just fine. The problem is that I'm bored because I have so much more awake time now. I'm going to have to find something to do.
