I don't know if this is the right place for this. But I'm just so happy I could cry. Im in the 2 - teens for the first time in 3 years! Im just happy I chose to do this.

Now don't get me wrong; sometimes I think LORD what the heck have I done to myself. Then I see those that are a lot farther out and realize that it gets easier.

I haven't experienced a REAL stall (knock-on-wood). I normally weigh EVERYDAY:scared0: but there are some days (I notice mostly on weekends) that I stay at the same weight for about 24-48 hours or go up and down during that time. I honestly know that if I make it to one-derland I would be ecstatic. I usually low ball myself so that I don't get disappointed, but I don't think I can screw up with this thing.

I was driving along this morning and thinking that I USED TO be thinking about what I was going to EAT all day long... That was the highlight of my day. But I've replaced that concentration on my family and my home and I LOVE IT!:blushing:

I do have to think a little on planning my meals, but I could care less about which movie theater we go to because one doesn't have hot wings!

I NOW realize that my weight was making me a depressed slave and now that I am no longer a slave to it (except for the fact I can't chug a Pepsi *yes I MISS THOSE*)

Congrats!!! I just hit my 180's and I almost cried too. It's been many years since I've been that low in weight. I agree....it's pretty simple rules, and if you follow them (which isn't hard to do) you almost can't screw this up. It's going to continually get better and better. Congrats on your success!!!

Good work girl. Stay away from that fried chicken and you will go far. I understand the thought process, "what am I gonna have to eat today?" It's like a driving force for each day that is no longer even a thought.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
