Um... endowment?

Recommended Posts

Okay, okay, I know I'll get a whole lot of "size doesn't matter" responses to this, and it's embarrassing to even ask. However...

To us guys, our "endowment" is intimately tied to our self-esteem. Now, on that front, I'm doing okay genetically speaking, but, well, I'm fat. Obese. The result of that is that I have a big gut hiding... things from me, and a fat pad above the pubic area that also makes stuff look smaller than it really is.

Any guys (or gals for that matter) know if losing the weight will make the, um, package area more prominent?

I know, I know, it's silly and shallow, but then again -- isn't all concern over our appearance silly and shallow? I'm not counting on a dramatic change in this area, but it would be nice to have that uh... little REMINDER that "hey, I'm a man after all!"

Anyone?

Dude...after all the positive responses, we'll be waiting to find out just how things progress with you! (and I've no doubt you'll see...)

I used to have a very nice package. When I got heavy it seemed to shrinks inside my abdomen. I thought it was going to be forever like that, you know just getting older. But after the weight loss, it has come back just like before, and i get the morning woody's again. So i guess this was an extra plus that I hadn't even planned on.

Now THAT would be change I could believe in!

So many nice benefits to weight loss :thumbup1:

Hey...that little fat pad in the pubic area does have its benefits now...so don't go getting TOO skinny!

I have to say that since my husband has started working out and become much more physically active...he's also taking karate now....he's been a lot more....umm...in the mood I guess.

No complaints here...I'm always in the mood!

This is too funny but it is soooo true. I will tell you that Mr Happy does seem to have grown not only in length but width since being release from the fatcave he used to hide in. I think that a lot of it has to do with him being able to breathe for the first time in decades....LOL!

FYI .......Orpah did a show with Dr. Oz not that long ago where this was discussed....see answer below...

Men can make their penises bigger. If you are overweight, losing 35 pounds adds one inch to the penis. Unfortunately, this rate of "growth" slows as you lose weight. Technically, you're not actually making it grow but, rather, losing the pelvic fat that's currently covering it. As you gain weight, the fat engulfs your penis and crowds out the light and you may begin to feel that it's "out of sight... See More Answers ?

Good god, if that's true, I'll be godlike... er, I'll shut up now. :tongue2:

Honestly, I'll be happy for ANYTHING. Like I mentioned, it's been so long since I felt like a man, that any little bit (hehe) will make me happy as a teenaged boy.

Also I've noticed since I've lost 30+ lbs that what I have is, um, firmer. Extremely so. The word "granite" comes to mind.

If this is a shadow of things to come, I am seriously loving it.

Without going into too much detail, now that I'm about 3 months and 60 lbs out, I'll just quote from Blazing Saddles: it's twoo! Oh, it's twoo, it's twoo!

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
