Happy Destiny 0 Posted April 7, 2010 I was wondering if anyone has used "juicing" pre/post surgery. I've been watching the commercial for Jack lalane? juicer. What do post surgery folks think about that? Thanks for your response!
Turbo Owl 0 Posted April 7, 2010 I have a friend who juices. but I'm not sure when he started after surgery. better check with your doctor. to much sugars is not a good thing right away. I on the other hand just juiced an amazing fresh v 8 for Breakfast this morning. but I havn't had the surgery yet : )
Tiffykins 673 Posted April 7, 2010 I avoided fruits and high glycemic index veggies due to the heavy carb/sugar counts early on, and now I do enjoy about 8oz of grape juice every day. I only started because I'm burnt out on Water, and I can't tolerate aspartame sweetened stuff like the Crystal Light packets, etc. I'm the only one that drinks tea in the house so it's pretty wasteful to make iced tea when no one else drinks it. So, I stick with water and my little 8oz of juice. I'm maintaining at this point, and don't have to watch my carbs/sugar intake as strictly as I did during my losing stage.
