Dovie 0 Posted September 18, 2011 I live in Bellevue. I was sleeved on 8/23/11. I have read that people who go to support groups lose more weight. does on line support have the same results.

Everybody I have been in contact with there has been wonderful... I'll get my date after my appt on the 23(I think) if I am all clear of worries. I don't have any co problems so I'm hoping for smooth sailing. I'm taking my six year old to Disney on the 6th and then he starts school on the 15th so my hope is soon after that. How long did it take from first appt to your surgery? Kairn (patient adv) felt pretty comfy that my timing will work well. I'm trying to get it done prior to taking a trip to Alaska because I don't want to fly for a few weeks after...is that nuts? Heh heh.
Sparky79 41 Posted July 8, 2012 I had my first initial appointment with the Dr. at the beginning of May. I was approved by insurance the last week in June (approved in 3 days!). After that I was given a surgery date of July 18th. In between all of that I had a ton of appointments. One thing I would recommend is that you find out if you have sleep apnea as soon as possible. I started that process a month before my first appointment and that was the last thing we were waiting on before I could get my surgery date. Good Luck! I have been away for a bit (no 3G in neath bay lol) so I just saw this. Does everyone have to go through that test? It's almost a deal killer for me as my infant was nearly killed doing it. I don't have sleep apnea...maybe my husband can attest lol.
