WOW! What a feeling!

Recommended Posts

Well as many of you sleevers know, or maybe will know, that we continue to wear our same clothes once they become comfortable and beyond. I kept wearing my same 2 pairs of jeans because they were comfortable and loose and probably made me feel good because although hardly anyone had commented on my weightloss they made ME realize I had lost weight. So I had been thinking I am about the weight I was before I got pregnant with my son. So I dug out the jeans I wore for my birthday right before I found out I was pregnant. I remember feeling SO good that night in my skin! Well I put them on and they FIT!! A little tighter in the waist than I prefer but a few more pounds and they will be PERFECT! They I dug out some from many years ago... again FIT! WOW! I can not believe it! This has never happened to me before! I am going to get rid of my comfortable pants and look forward to going out and buying some more JEANS!

:)

That IS a wonderful feeling!!! It's one of the best feelings ever! I have also pulled out some summer clothes that I wasnt able to fit and they look great! I can't wait til summer comes full bloom and to go shopping. I told myself I wouldnt do any shopping until my birthday which is in July. UNtil then I'm just wearing my old clothes that I can now fit.

Congrats Lynda I too had a wow moment when I broke out some jeans and tops I wore several years ago (cloths bought after a big wt. loss). I am able to fit into quite a few nice jeans, skirts, tops and jackets. I still have even smaller sizes that are classic and pricey but I'm not there quite yet. Keep up the good work.

Very exciting Lynda!!

I am down one+ size in jeans. Almost ready for the next ones but agree, they are just a bit tighter than I would prefer. I bought a couple of danskins type pants and wear them to work too. I like the stretchy material and tie waist band.

Congrats! Sure makes it worth the changes!

Lynda, that's so exciting. I can put on jeans that I've saved for a couple of years. Two pairs that were my favorites. I can put them on and zip or button them up and they're ok, but just a little too tight for sitting around comfortably. My goal is to get into them ASAP and dump these baggy ones I've been wearing! :o

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
