Today is pre-op day 6 for me and I feel great! However, I'm pretty fatigued. I really feel as though I can lay down and nap at any time. Other than that I feel very good. Has anyone else expierenced this?

Well, Im definately getting all my protien in. But I'm not sure if I'm eating enough. It is the strangest thing, because I'm not sure if I am full. I hope that makes sense. Maybe I'm not getting enough nutrients, even tho i'm taking my Vitamin and B12 religiously. Maybe I'm just tired from surgery. who knows. :laugh0:

I think that, for me anyway, your body just has to adjust to a new routine. I ate a lot more (even while taking my Vitamins, etc.) than I did post op. You are still on liquids too. I can guarantee you aren't getting the same nutrients on broth and sugar free Jello that you do on roast and potatoes LOL I could be totally off base with this, but that is how it was with me. Now I'm cool on what I do get.

This is all very "normal".. our bodies are adjusting to everything!

I was sooooo tired about a month out.... I felt as if I could barely hold the hair drying up to do myhair! I was warned about this from my Doctors and NUT. so I didn't worry- and it does pass! And you will see such a difference in finding so much nore energy as the weight comes off!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
