BlaqBeary 23 Posted March 27, 2010 Hello All I finally joined after reading some of the post here. Before deciding to have WLS, I completed the Optifast class through Kaiser. I lost 30 lbs on program and another 30 on my own. Today I received a packet for the procedure Vertical Sleeve. I am ever so excited. I have orientation on June 14. I like to add, the post I've read are so full of hope and congrats to you all. Don't ever be discouraged.
pnw218 14 Posted March 27, 2010 wow! sounds like you are off to a great start! I had little to no luck keeping weight off! Hopefully a surgery date will come quickly for you!
Tiffykins 673 Posted March 27, 2010 Hi and welcome to the forum ! ! ! Fingers crossed for you on getting a surgery date soon. I saw that you had asked how to get a ticker in your signature. Here's the Ticker tutorial link that will help you edit your signature to have a ticker in there. Also, to edit the signature, all you'll do is make sure you set up a PIN so you can edit, once you are ready to change your weight for your ticker, you'll click back on your ticker, it'll open a new window for you, and you'll enter your PIN and then hit edit/update weight. You can actually get to the Graphical Tickers and Trackers: Weight Loss, Trying To Conceive, Pregnancy... by clicking my ticker in my signature, and then design your own. If you need any help with it, just let me know. http://verticalsleevetalk.com/vertical-sleeve-talk-forum-assistance-suggestions/267-vst-tickerfactory-ticker-tutorial-pictures.html
sleevegenie 0 Posted March 27, 2010 wow, welcome, congratulations, i'm so happy for you, i'm trying to get the sleeve but my insurance still considers it experimental and they don't want to pay for it. hopefully they will all start offering it, i mean really, thankfully kaiser , united, and i think in april aetna is going to be offering it, hopefully anthem bc and all the others realize they need to offer this and give us all a good chance, so wish me luck on my journey and i wish you all good luck on yours
