I just want to make sure mine is normal. Burning pain on left side if i do too much. if i push or hold it it feels way better. Did anyone else have this.

I believe its just from the surgery. just want to make sure. i think i may be over doing it.

Sorry you're hurting. Why not take it easy for a day and see if it gets better.

You did just have surgery about a week ago. I also say take it easy. Your body is still healing. Hope it resolves soon.

Yes I remember having that burning pain. I had to hold my belly up while walking. If I let it go it felt like I would rip something. But it goes away. One day soon you will wake up and realize it is gone.

I know exactly what pain you are talking about. Although I have not had it with my sleeve (3/23/10), I did have it with both c-sections and hysterectomy. It hurts badly, but will subside as your body heals. Mine took a while because they were large incisions, hopefully yours will not last as long. I am only 4 days post op, but feel good. I hope you have a great recovery !!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
