BigLoser 0 Posted March 17, 2010 Hi guys! I am back at work today and feeling great. Rough 3 days after surgery, but pushed through. Thank you to all of you who prayed for me and my whack-job husband. Thank God, he did a full 180 two days prior to surgery. He was there for me and has been ever since. I am having a hard time getting Protein in and liquids too. I do well to get 1 to 1 1/2 bottles of Water a day. Just feels like I am swallowing a golf ball with every drink. Anything else I can try? I have been mixing powder with pudding and skim milk and drinking Boost and Special K Protein drinks. Anyway, I think I am down almost 20 lbs since I started pre-surgery diet!!! Woohooo! Thanks again for everything!
MINI-Me 196 Posted March 17, 2010 Glad to hear you are doing well ... those first few days are not much fun at all. The liquids will get easier. Just sipp whenever you can! (Glad to know your husband was supportive.)

windsor 0 Posted March 17, 2010 I have found that the ready made "Premier" Protein that costco carries is really good and convenient. You get 24 11oz. shakes for $23.59. Each shake has 30 grams of protein. If you drink 2 per day it costs just under $2.00 and you have gotten in 60 grams of protein.:001_tongue:
goodlife 3 Posted March 17, 2010 windsor...what is the fat and carb count in that shake?
Tiffykins 673 Posted March 17, 2010 Robin, I'm so happy to see an update from you. Congrats on your surgery, and I'm so happy your husband is being supportive. Can you try some of the Celestial Seasons herbal Decaf teas? They really helped early on for me, and I still enjoy them now.

BigLoser 0 Posted March 19, 2010 Ok, have to get a costco card! Tiff, thank you, but I have never been able to bring myself to drink tea. Or coffee for that matter. I am doing a little better now...just trying to get the Protein in. Thanks all!
