Woohoo! I've gone from a size 26 to a size 16 in 5 months! :D

*shows everyone the jeans she's wearing*

It was recently said in another thread that I'm having problems with my food choices. Err.. I'd like to correct that. I have not cheated on myself even once. Sorry to disappoint. :D

Thanks everyone! :D

My first pics were at the -50 lbs mark, although my before pics weren't taken at my highest weight in December 05 when I started the pre-op diet. I'm only 27 pounds from the second 50 pounds gone so I'm going to wait for that before I post more pics. I'm guessing that will happen in about 3 more moths.

This is realy starting to get exciting! Thanks for sharing the joy with me. *hugs*

The band is not an easy tool to work. I think you're doing an incredible job. Keep up the good work. It is very motivating even for those of us who are no longer banded. Do you have a journal with your food logs posted? I understand if you choose not to do that, but would love a little insight as to what you're eating. If you don't mind sharing you could PM me. I'm maintaining my weight so far in the 5 weeks since my band slipped, but am in need of some inspiration.

Thanks:)

Jacqui - *laughs* Don't count on it. While my rear is shrinking there are other areas that aren't co-operating as well. Like my boobs.. and my mouth. *laughs*

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
