So glad to hear that your surgery went well!:crying: I also have Fibromyalgia, and my doctor gave me the same advice. My surgery will be on April 13th. I am a little worried that surgery might cause me to have a "flare", but I am encouraged to hear how well you have done. Please continue to give updates on your recovery.

Take care!

Hi All,

I've begun to experience sharp pains on the right side under my rib cage. It feels similar to what one would experience after running. Is this still the gas?

Thanks!

Try to stretch your arms out above your head and also do walk as much as you can. If it's gas it should release. Hope you feel better shortly.

Sounds like gas to me. Welcome to the Loser's Bench. I too opted to come home after one night. I was so much more comfortable here at home. My son came home from NY for days 4-6 with me. It was quite funny... the olympics were on TV and I took up passing gas as my olympic sport. It was great the day I won the gold medal! :)

Istarted running a fever and my pulse spiked at 165 so I decided I better get checked out by the doc. Turns out that I have an intestinal c dif infection and am being admitted to the hospital for fluids and antibiotics. The sleeve site is in good shape but it is scary having an infection so close!

Hugapug I'm sending you a BIG HUG! Get well soon.

My daughter had c-dif after the birth of her baby. She couldn't breast feed because of the antibiotics.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
