Did anyone buy skinny clothes before they lost?

Love it. And love a wrap dress. The good thing with them is you can wear them through a few different sizes- and it will still fit OK.

I continuously bought clothes before they fit as a "goal" dress or outfit. I only did this when they were on serious clearance, but I will say that I'm now kicking myself because I never thought I'd get this size (I've never been below a size 12/14 so didn't know what size my goal weight would correlate to).

I am still happy I bought the "goal" dresses because it made me so happy when I finally fit into them. I will now have to have them altered and sort of wish I would have bought a couple sizes smaller when it was like 60% off because now I need to buy a couple of new dresses for my upcoming vacation and will need to pay full price.

I'd say go for it!

I have a huge bag full of "skinny" clothes when I used to weigh 130 lbs in high school because these are super cute and super expensive outfits that don't really go out of style and I can't part with. I'm hoping to fit in them by summer or the end of summer :) Can't wait!

buy the dress!

I did that too. bought a couple of sexy jeans and can't wait to fit into them. I need to drop one size to be able to wear them. I shop all the time and try on clothes to learn about my progress, it is FUN!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
