BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted August 2, 2010 I used to love Zumba when I lived in another city and they had classes at my gym. But I went to try it where I live now when they first offered it, and it was such a bore! The instructor was mediocre at best and the music was lame. I only went that one time - the next time she was like half an hour late, so I just left. A month later, the class was cancelled, so I guess I wasn't the only one left unimpressed! lizajane2000 1 Posted August 3, 2010 I have one friend who is a Zumba instructor. She went from 210 pounds to 185 pounds in about 6 months and she didn't even watch her diet. She just did Zumba four times a week. She loves it. They play all sorts of music at her classes. She loves hip hop so she makes a lot of routines to that. She does have salsa music too, but more of hip hop. She is all the time trying to get me to come, I guess I have always been embarrassed to go because I am so heavy. I think I am going to make it one of my goals to get started with it. I get bored very fast with the same old equipment to work out on, so this does sound challenging and fun. Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted August 8, 2010 yeah, the music makes a huge difference. I like it better when they make up routines to the popular music that is on the radio.
