Today is the first day

Hi everyone,

Today is the day for my sleeve - 23rd February. I'm have been pretty cool and calm about all of this. I'm just looking forward to the day when I can be the real me. I have lost 6kg in the 2 weeks prior.

Off to the hospital now. Catch up soon.

Hi there everyone,

Thankyou for all your good wishes. I am back home now and everything went ok. I had a bit of a reaction to the anesthesia but luckily didn't vomit...there are some great drugs out there...lol. I am on pureed food now.

The hospital has you on 2 days of clear fluids then you go onto free fluids, milk, pureed Soups, porridge...,they are all going down ok. In fact, I feel pretty great. I have found that Water is quite hard to get down but if you add a little bit of apple juice its heaps easier to swallow. I have even gone for a short walk to the shops and still felt great. Wish I had done it sooner...
