Feeling to full!!!

Recommended Posts

I am two days post-op & am on a clear liquid diet. About an hour ago I felt like I needed to drink something so I drank about 1/2-3/4 cup gatorade with a small amount of Fiber added. Now I feel so over full & could throw-up! I am sooo worried I have strechted my pouch & won't lose weight! I know I am over reacting but I can't help it! Any advice? Thanks for the support! :omg:

You have a lot of swelling. Drink slowly and don't over do it. I could only drink very small amounts (sips) for the first couple of days. Hang in there, it will get better.

It's very unlikely that you will stretch your pouch with liquids, especially since you don't have a fill yet. You will notice a lot of restriction right at first since you are still swollen.

I added fiber to my drink because I was feeling sort of hungry. The nutritionist at my surgeon said to take a table to two if you are feeling hungry. I thought I was doing the right thing but I guess it to early! Thanks everyone for the reassurance that I probably didn't strech my pouch & its just to swollen to drink that much! Thanks everyone!!!

I know what you mean. We've all gone through so much to get this far. It is a huge step to get the band and after going to the extreme of surgery no one wants to mess it up! You didn't stretch anything. Just go slow. Are you sure you're supposed to be having fiber??

I drank liquids for two weeks and didn't add any fibre. I also didn't poop for about a week. My Docs office said, well there isn't much fiber in Jello. Not to worry yet. I didn't feel really hungry until the last day of liquids. Trader Joe's has some awesome boxed Soups that are sooo much better than Campbell's.
