ishary 0 Posted February 13, 2010 The hopsital coordinator sent this to me today. I found it most helpful!! I was sleeved jan 28 in Mexico with Dr. Almanza http://www.cornellweightlosssurgery.org/pdf/dietary_guidelines_sleeve_gastrectomy.pdf
Tracy46545 6 Posted February 13, 2010 Ishary, I used that as a guideline too. My surgeon has a very slow progression to solid foods. I complied for the first two weeks and then did a modified "Cornell/John Hopkins" surgery post op plan. Be very sensible, avoid raw crunchy foods too soon and keep your carb count down and you'll probably be fine. I think the Cornell plan is very easy to understand and follow and still be safe. FireFly 0 Posted February 14, 2010 Thanks for the info. Maybe I should have gone to NY instead of MX for surgery. There is real food right away. Boo hoo for me having a strict surgeon. This will be very useful when I get to the soft stuff.
pumpkin07 32 Posted February 15, 2010 Well this looks like a more reasonable plan to me. I'm going to ask my dietician tomorrow. Thanks.
