Unjury Unflavored Protein

Recommended Posts

So is it good or bad? Honestly? I don't want to fork out the money if it is going to be gross but my NUT recommended it today. She told me to add it to everything since I was having a tough time with Protein. I have already wasted so much money on protein that I don't like. Is online the only place to get Unjury?

yes, I am pretty sure you have to get it online. You can get GNC unflavored whey Protein. It's their own brand. It's basically the same thing.

I've had really good luck with all of the Unjury flavors that I've tried; van, choc, chicken and unfl. I use the unflavored the most because it does go in everything and you can't taste it. That being said, I really only use it in non-sweet foods like Soups. You could surely add it to yogurt and puddings, however, I just haven't tried it. The chicken broth was not bad either. You have to order on-line and they do offer sample packs. Voila!

I am in agreement with the Pirate :>). Unjury Protein is good stuff. I have all the flavors but have only used the unflavored once in a homemade Soup. I didn't taste anything different.

I think I may be one of the only ones that didn't like the unjury chicken Soup. I tried it and felt really strange an hour later. I felt full in a weird way, like it wanted to come back up and I was a little nauseated. I decided against purchasing it because it's very high in sodium and I figured I wouldn't want something making me thirsty when I couldn't get in enough Water. I'm one of those very sensitive to sodium. Maybe that's why I felt weird? People say that high sodium is a way to keep us full longer. If we look at packaged diet foods, they're all pretty high in sodium. (frozen Entrees etc)

I'm going to try the Unjury unflavored in hot cocoa this morning. I did purchase a container of the unflavored when getting the sample pack. I'll let you know how that tastes.

I personally found all the Unjury Proteins repulsive. I am, of course, the pickiest person when it comes to Protein. The Unjury unflavored had a smell that didn't resonate well with me. Just because it says "unflavored" doesn't mean there isn't a taste, or smell. I found the same thing with the GNC unflavored. Sorry, but I didn't like any of the Unjury flavors, and I tried the chocolate, chicken Soup, unflavored, strawberry sorbet, and vanilla. They all were gross to me.

Yuck on the unflavored Unjury in hot cocoa. I too just don't like how it tastes and also how I feel afterwards.

For sweet things like pudding or applesauce I found an unflavored SOY Protein at my grocery store. The brand is GEN-SOY. It has a pleasant smell and no taste. I also ordered the Unjury sample pack but have not received it.

I aboslutely hated the Unjury. I tried every way possible to get them down and just couldn't stomach the smell or the taste. I think everyone is different though, some like it and others not so much. Even the unflavored made me gag.

Order samples and try it yourself. Everyone has different opinions on taste. I lived on nectar Fuzzy Navel mixed with Sunrise Crystal Light and 28 ounces of Water for 3 months. Loved it. Although, I got away from Protein Shakes over the last few months, I am back to trying them in an effort to increase my Protein and break this nasty stall. I recently tried the Chike Protein sample (chocolate) I had ordered and enjoyed that. I also recently purchased Premier Nutrition Protein shakes from costco (RTD) and like those too. I also have many tubs of protein sitting on top of my refrigerator that I don't particularly care for. There is a thread under food / protein that lists lots of places to order samples of different Proteins. I would highly recommend checking it out to save room (and $$) on top of the fridge for protein you will actually drink

I have had a terrible time finding Protein powder that I can get down. I hate the smell, taste, texture, etc.

I have found that Any whey (I purchase mine from Amazon at [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Instantized-Protein-2-7-Pound/dp/B000GIUQOG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1267113994&sr=8-1]Amazon.com: Optimum Nutrition 100% Any Whey Instantized Whey Protein, 2.7-Pound Tub: Health & Personal Care[/ame]) is good - especially mixed with Carbmaster's Yogurt. I mix 1/2 scoop to 1 container for 20 grams of protein.

I use the Unjury unflavored in chocolate pudding...It works for me, no flavor, no smell and no aftertaste. You just need to stir it really well until it disolves. I love the unjury chocolate and vanilla....the chicken Soup I found to be very salty tasting....The only thing I haven't mastered yet is putting the Protein in hot liquids...The temp can't be above 130 degrees, otherwise it clumps....

I heard that if you mix the Protein Powder with a little cold, cold Water to a paste consistency, and then add it to the warm liquid slowly, it prevents the clumping.

Kind of like adding cornstarch or flour to hot gravy to thicken it.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
