I am really struggling. I am feeling like a failure here. I have been at a stall..BIG TIME! Its been over 3 weeks since I have lost any weight. My clothes arent feeling any different. I have been hungry lately. I feel disgusting. I eat. I eat. I eat. Then I feel guilty. I dont have anyone where I live that is going thru any of this. Can someone out there please just give me some advice or something. Please.:001_rolleyes:

Hi there Angel-

How far out are you? Not that it really matters......You just have a "small" setback.... but here's my advice... pick yourself up, dust yourself off..... and go back to basics.

You need to make sure you are drinking PLENTY of Water, and eating 3 x's a day........ Protein first!!

You didn't say'what' you are eating.....but start keeping a journal of what you're eating, and WHY. Are you bored?? Emotional?? etc.....

Keep track of cals, carbs and protions and times you are eating... being aware of whats going on around you is half the battle.

You can do this!! You're not a failure..... just a set back and we all have stalls!!

G'luck and if you just wanna vent you caan always PM me!!

I concur 100% with Chancie. It's just a speed bump, don't let it become a roadblock.

You'll have to figure out why you've slipped back into bad habits. Get rid of all the temptation foods in the house, and if you have to go back to super basics and detox your body.

We're all here for you, and if you need anything, feel free to contact me via private message as well.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
