Trim Kids

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever heard of or used Trim Kids? (the book not the video) My little girl is a little heavy and from what I can see this book helps to incorporate healthy eating and exercise. Actually it will help me do it for her. I don't want her to read it or even know that I think she is heavy.I remember how damaging that can be. Any feedback would be great.

Havent seen or heard of it over here.

My oldest son is a little chubby at the moment, but I have the feeling he's about to shoot up, and he's going to be a BIG boy, his dad is 6ft 3 and I think he may be going to be taller than that.

I just try to encourage lots of organised sport, both boys play basketball twice a week and Aussie Rules during the winter, they have an hour or so of sport a day during school too - either formal PE or the lunchtime heroes competition where they play footy, soccer, bombadier (dont ask me what this is) etc.

And I just dont have junk in the house.

Both kids are in extra activities. My older daughter is blessed with a metabolism that won't quit. My little one ( she is 8) tends to be chubby. She is very active but eats too much sometimes. I really hope that she grows into her weight but in case that doesn't happen I want her to at least settle the gaiing down. I don't want her to got through what I have over the years.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
