Guest kataylee Posted April 11, 2004 I was banded on Thurdsay morning by Dr Anthony Boutt in Michigan. The surgery went smoothly and for the most part I am pain free. My biggest problem at the moment is I'm not sure if I am "full" or if it is gas pressure on my diaphragm. I feel like I really need to (pardon the expression) BELCH and I can't - is that normal?? I know, it takes getting used to!! :
Sheila 0 Posted April 11, 2004 Hi Kataylee, Congrats on being banded! I was banded on Monday this week, so we'll go thru this experience together. It took a couple of days before the belching began, but once it started, it is constant. My kids are now calling me the belching queen!! Not a title I really wanted but I guess I'll deal with it. Every day gets better. I didn't have much pain at all so I hope you aren't either. I haven't been hungry at all this whole week which is amazing to me. I'm sure as my life gets back to normal I'll be hungry (although wouldn't it be wonderful if we never get hungry again!) Good luck in this healing phase and I'll be watching your posts. La_madam 20 Posted April 11, 2004 Hi I had my surgery on Tuesday APril 6th with Dr. Ortiz and I have the exact same feeling in my diaphram. I'm the only one out of the group of us who had surgery the same day that is experiencing this so I was a little nervous. Some others have told me it is the band and the tightness of it originally being in place..so do'nt worry you are not the only one and my Dr. said it was normal and nothing to worry about Michelle
